APSC Job Profile and Salary in Assam

 

The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) is the constitutional authority in charge of holding civil service exams and hiring applicants for Assam government positions. The Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) and the Administrative Officers’ Examination (AOE) are the two primary exams administered by the APSC.

The CCE is a three-stage examination that is conducted to recruit candidates to various posts in the civil services, including the Assam Civil Service (ACS), Assam Police Service (APS), and other departments of the Assam Government. The AOE is a two-stage examination that is conducted to recruit candidates to the posts of Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police.

The salary of APSC officers is based on the 7th Pay Commission. The starting salary of an APSC officer is Rs. 30,000 per month, with a grade pay of Rs. 13,300. The salary increases with experience and promotions.
